GAZA CITY (VINnews)-The IDF announced that five soldiers — including two officers — were seriously wounded and six others lightly injured in a Hamas attack on an army encampment in Gaza City earlier today.

The incident began at approximately 5:25 p.m., when a cell of five Hamas operatives infiltrated the base and detonated two explosive devices near a tank belonging to the 7th Armored Brigade’s 82nd Battalion.
Troops returned fire, killing at least two terrorists — one with tank shelling and another in a close-quarters gunfight. The remaining three gunmen fled the scene and are now being pursued by IDF forces.
Among the seriously wounded are a medical officer, a tank officer, and three soldiers of the 82nd Battalion. All injured troops were evacuated to hospitals, and their families have been notified.
