Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett addressed the agreement to end the war by U.S. President Donald Trump, saying he “wants to thank President Trump who is working with all his might to bring about the release of our hostages. We will never forget that in the October 7 massacre, more than 1,200 Israelis were murdered, burned, raped and slaughtered, and 251 were kidnapped from their beds.” Bennett called for the establishment of a state commission of inquiry and added that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s apology to Qatar was necessary because “the Israeli government failed to achieve a decisive victory against Hamas and did not return our kidnapped brothers.”
