UPDATE:
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck in Barrie.
Just before 8:20 Wednesday morning, police say they responded to a collision on Bayfield Street, just north of Coulter Street, where they found a man on the road after he had reportedly been hit by the rear trailer of a tandem-style truck.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the truck was found just north of the collision scene, and the driver is cooperating with investigators.
Bayfield Street was closed between Coulter Street and Ferris Lane for just over two hours.
“Closed-circuit television from a nearby business, along with witnesses who remained at the scene, are assisting with the investigation,” police said in a news release.

Barrie police say a man in his 60s was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a truck.
Police were alerted shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday about the collision on Bayfield Street, between Coulter Street and Ferris Lane.
The truck driver is cooperating with investigators, police added.
Bayfield Street is closed between Coulter Street and Ferris Lane for the investigation.
