St Kilda ruckman Rowan Marshall has requested a trade, just hours after the Saints signed ruckman Tom De Koning on one of the biggest contracts in footy history.
Marshall, 29, has asked the Saints to trade him to Geelong according to Nine’s Tom Morris.
One of the game’s best ruckmen of the decade, though never an All-Australian (making the squad in 2023), Marshall has played 156 games after being picked by the Saints in the 2017 rookie draft.

He would usurp another ex-Saint, Rhys Stanley, should he be traded to the Cats.
While previously happy at Moorabbin, Marshall was believed to be frustrated with the club’s chase of De Koning, given he is contracted until the end of 2027 and was not thrilled with them chasing another ruckman.
It was previously reported the Saints wanted a mid-to-late first-round pick back for Marshall in any trade. The Cats’ first pick is No.17.
Marshall is from Portland in Victoria’s southwest and his brother Ollie plays for Newcomb in the Geelong amateur league.
