Heads up, Swifties: Taylor Swift has officially revealed whether she’s taking The Life of a Showgirl on tour. As we clutch our wallets with bated breath (and prayers for the inevitable chaos of that ticket queue), Mother Swift actually revealed that she might be taking a beat until she hits the stage again.
During a rare interview on BBC Radio 1 with Greg James, the Grammy winner got candid about taking the highly anticipated album on the road after her record-breaking Eras Tour.
When asked if she had the “itch” to do something soon, she simply said, “No. I’m going to be honest with you, I’m so tired, like, when I think about doing it again. I want to do it really well, again.”
While fans are always down for the spectacle of a Taylor Swift show, a bunch of Swifties took to a TikTok comments section with a collective sigh of relief at her revelation. “MY POCKETS ARE SAFE,” one person wrote, while another pointed out Taylor’s uber-impressive work ethic, saying, “We understand babes. Thank you for everything TayTay.”
“The Fate of Ophelia” singer then dished about her new record—and one of its main muses, Travis Kelce. “You’re in love. It’s kind of gross,” the radio host said, to which Taylor replied, “No it’s not! I don’t know what you heard. It’s not that kind of album.” (To which we say…“Wood” would like a word, Taylor.)

While TLOAS was described as “lovely, bright, and happy,” she also said it’s “got some teeth to it.”
“I’m proud of that, because it’s a full picture of, like, the full life experience. Which, for me, is like…there’s always some element of drama that’s forcing into my consciousness, which is fun to write about, too,” she shared.
Get the well deserved rest you need, girl—we’ll be here, prepared to tackle the frontlines of the great war of your TicketMaster queue when the time comes.
