At The Assembly House, fans spoke live to BBC Breakfast about the new release and their love for Swift.
Amy Kelly-Edwards had embroidered her own denim jacket with colourful symbols representing each of Swift’s albums.
The motifs included a golden sun, a red fern-like plant, a purple castle, red heart glasses, birds in flight, a brown boot, a pink snake, and a blue and grey lighter.
“It’s just filled with so much love and joy and happiness,” she said.
“I love it, she always produces something amazing.”
The release comes after the 35-year-old was engaged to NFL star Travis Kelce. At 41 minutes it is the shortest album Swift has released since her debut in 2006.
Carmen Tyrrell, 26, said she had been a fan since she was 11.
“She’s grown up with us,” she said. “It’s so exciting to see the next chapter of her life.”
