Getting into Rogers Centre for the ALDS between the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees will cost you a pretty penny.

The Yankees were able to punch their ticket to the ALDS after eliminating the Boston Red Sox in their Wild-Card series on Thursday night. As a result, they will now head to Toronto to take on the AL East Division-winning Blue Jays.

This marks the first time since 2016 that the Blue Jays will be playing in the ALDS, and the excitement from the fan base is very evident based on ticket prices. It’s also the first time ever the Blue Jays and Yankees have met in the playoffs.

The cheapest available tickets on Ticketmaster are priced at $262.99 in the 500 level, while several others in the upper deck are priced above $320. There are several in the lower bowl going for more than $2,000.

The prices increase for Game 2, albeit only slightly. The cheapest available tickets for Sunday’s outing are currently going for $283.22. Seats in the 100-level section start at an eye-popping $428.40.

Game 3, as well as a potential Game 4, will take place at Yankee Stadium in New York, where the Yankees are doing their best to prevent Canadian fans from buying tickets.

Meanwhile, Game 5, if necessary, will be played at Rogers Centre in a winner-takes-all outing. Given the stakes of that potential game, it’s no surprise to see that ticket prices are higher, though the actual amount is hard to grasp.

Tickets for Game 5 begin at an astounding $368.88. There are plenty of seats in the 500-level section that are going for north of $400, while several in the lower bowl are going for more than $3,000.

What makes this all the more interesting is that there are plenty of tickets still available at Yankee Stadium. By comparison, they are extremely affordable too, with the cheapest tickets for Game 3 currently available for just C$117. Part of the slow-selling tickets could be due to the fact that they aren’t allowing Canadians to purchase tickets.

The bragging rights over the amount of tickets sold so far, along with the fact that Canadians can’t buy tickets to Yankee Stadium, will only help add to what is going to be an intense series. Game 1 between these two divisional rivals is set to begin on Saturday at 4:08 p.m. EDT.
