Julia Roberts just gave an extremely rare update on life with her three kids, and how they’re growing into adults of their own. In a recent chat with Stephen Colbert, she told the Late Show host about how all of her kids have left the house.
“I don’t know if sobbing now is the best jumping off point to our interview,” she joked about slowly becoming an empty nester. “I love hanging out with them and spending time with them. Fortunately, we have had lots of visits along the way [to] this empty nest.”

For those who don’t know, the Oscar-winning actress and her husband, Danny Moder, met in 2000 while on the set of The Mexican, and married in 2002. They later welcomed three children: twins Phinnaeus Walter and Hazel Patricia, born in Nov 2004, and another son named Henry Daniel, born in June 2007.

In a previous interview with Extra, Roberts discussed her twins’ growth and their transition to college. “I’m completely excited for them. It’s really thrilling, and I wasn’t lucky enough to have a college experience,” she said. “And so to see how it’s happening for them is really fascinating. I’m just excited for them.”
Her twins Phinnaeus and Hazel go to the University of California, Berkeley for fine arts and Trinity College for philosophy, respectively, according to PS. It’s unclear what Henry has decided, but we know he’s heading out too!
