In a heart-warming twist of fate, Belfast resident Magdalena Machowska became £500,000 richer thanks to a last-minute raffle ticket with McKinney Competitions and now, the Donegal Dream Home is back up for grabs tonight.
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Magdalena was announced as the winner of the hugely popular McKinney draw, which offered the choice of a luxury five-bedroom Donegal home or £500,000 in tax-free cash.
She’d only bought three tickets, just the day before.
“I paid for the tickets and totally forgot about it,” said Magdalena. “I went to bed as normal, then I got the call from Logie. I still can’t believe it happened!”
Just days later, live in McKinney’s studio, Magdalena made her decision, she chose the cash, opting to invest in a forever home for her family in Belfast.
“We’re going to buy the house we’ve always dreamed of,” she said. “I want to give my children what they’ve always wanted.”
