Former Shin Bet chiefs Nadav Argaman, Ami Ayalon and Carmi Gillon have petitioned the High Court of Justice against the appointment of David Zini as head of the organization. In their petition, the petitioners noted that “it is irresponsible and unreasonable to appoint someone who lacks relevant capabilities and experience to manage a complex intelligence organization like the Shin Bet. Zini does not meet any of the qualification and experience requirements needed for the head of the service.” Zini entered his position as head of the organization today after his candidacy was approved by the Grunis Committee for senior civil service appointments.
