Panthers star Liam Martin is pushing to make his return from a wrist injury suffered in the State of Origin decider.
Martin has been named in the extended squad for Saturday’s clash with the Wests Tigers, with Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo back on deck after being rested last week.

Cowboys: John Bateman is on track to return from a groin injury that has sidelined him since Round 18 and will start in the back row, with Harrison Edwards shifting to prop to replace the injured Tom Mikaele (knee). The loss of Murray Taulagi to a hamstring injury will see Braidon Burns shift to the wing and Jaxon Purdue return to the centres, with Tom Duffy the new five-eighth. No changes in Thursday’s 24-hour update.
Dragons: Mat Feagai is set for his first NRL game since Round 7 after a shoulder injury to Sione Finau prompted a backline reshuffle. Corey Allan shifts to the wing, with Feagai coming into the centres after making a successful return from an ankle injury via NSW Cup. Jacob Halangahu, Lachlan Ilias and Loko Pasifiki Tonga made way in Thursday’s 24-hour update.

Broncos: Winger Jesse Arthars is set to complete his comeback from a rib injury, with the Broncos also preparing to welcome back powerhouse prop Payne Haas. Fellow forward Corey Jensen is also on track to return from a calf injury and has been named on the bench. Adam Reynolds needs 14 points to become just the second player to score 2500 career points, joining Cameron Smith in the exclusive group. No changes in Thursday’s 24-hour update. Tyson Smoothy is 18th man.
Eels: Star halfback Mitchell Moses is on track to return from a calf injury that has kept him sidelined since Round 14. The playmaker will combine with Dean Hawkins in the halves after Joash Papalii shifted to fullback to replace the injured Isaiah Iongi (thumb). Departing five-eighth Dylan Brown remained in the extended squad when it was trimmed to 19 on Thursday but is unlikely to feature on Friday night.

Warriors: Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad has been cleared to make his return from a knee injury and will line up at fullback. Taine Tuaupiki shifts to 18th man in a settled squad looking to build on last week’s last-gasp win over the Knights. Marata Niukore will play his 150th NRL game.
Titans: A tough road trip gets even tougher for Gold Coast with skipper Tino Fa’asuamaelaui (knee) and forward David Fifita (ankle) ruled out of Des Hasler’s 500th game as coach. Klese Haas will start at lock while Josh Patston, Jacob Alick and Iszac Fa’asuamaelaui come on to a new-look bench. Alofiana Khan-Pereira remains in the reserves and could be a late inclusion into the side.

Panthers: Liam Martin is pushing to make his return from a wrist injury suffered in the State of Origin decider and is listed in the extended squad. Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo are back on deck after being rested last week, while Brian To’o is set to line up on the wing despite battling hamstring and knee issues for much of the season.
Wests Tigers: Prolific NSW Cup try-scorer Izaac Thompson is set for his Tigers debut and will replace Charlie Staines on the wing. Thompson has scored 66 tries in just 76 games in reserve grade. Adam Doueihi remains at lock after last week’s successful positional shift while Api Koroisau has been named at hooker but could be a late switch to the interchange, as was the case last week.

Rabbitohs: English recruit Lewis Dodd is set to start at halfback for the first time this season as South Sydney navigate an overflowing casualty ward. Jamie Humphreys has been ruled out with a concussion, while Keaon Koloamatangi (ankle) and Peter Mamouzelos (concussion) are also unavailable. Fullback Jye Gray is on track to return from a thumb injury in a much-needed boost. Ashton Ward is set to debut on a new-look bench alongside 27-year-old journeyman Ryan Gray, who will make his fourth NRL appearance.
Sharks: Centre Jesse Ramien is on track to return from a hamstring injury in a major boost for Cronulla, however Briton Nikora has been ruled out with a concussion. Billy Burns comes into the back row as a result, with Dan Atkinson added to the interchange. The utility has dropped out of the side in the past three games and could make way if coach Craig Fitzgibbon opts for a fourth forward on the bench.

Raiders: Simi Sasagi is set to start at centre after Seb Kris was ruled out with a concussion, with Noah Martin added to the bench for his fourth first-grade game. The Raiders are otherwise settled as they look to solidify their place at the top of the ladder.
Knights: Brodie Jones is listed in the reserves and could earn a late call up as he recovers from an illness that ruled him out of last week’s loss to the Warriors. Jack Hetherington is also set to make his return to the NRL after four games in reserve grade, with Thomas Cant moving to 18th man.

Bulldogs: Bronson Xerri is on track to return from a groin injury, however Sitili Tupouniua has succumbed to a hamstring injury after just one game back from injury. Sam Hughes will start at prop, with Josh Curran on the bench to cover for Tupouniua’s absence. Xerri’s return will see Enari Tuala shift to the wing and Jethro Rinakama drop out as the Bulldogs celebrate 30 years since their 1995 grand final victory over Manly.
Sea Eagles: Haumole Olakau’atu is preparing for his first game since dislocating his shoulder in Round 15 and comes straight back into the starting side. Jake Simpkin is also looking to line up on Sunday afternoon despite suffering a head knock last week and remains on the bench. Gordon Chan Kum Tong or Tommy Talau would likely come into the side if Simpkin drops out. Jason Saab will play his 100th NRL game.
