Paramount company has acquired the American news site “The Free Press” in a deal worth approximately $150 million. This was reported in the “New York Times” by two sources familiar with the details. The site’s founder, journalist Bari Weiss, has been appointed as the chief editor of CBS News. In an article on the site regarding the deal, Weiss noted that she will continue to lead “TheFP” as editor-in-chief and CEO, alongside her new role at CBS.
