A 28-year-old man from Toronto has been arrested in connection with a firearm discharge incident that occurred last month in Etobicoke.

It happened the evening of Sept. 21, near Lakeshore Boulevard West and Islington Avenue, following an argument between the suspect and the victim, who did not sustain any injuries, police say in a press release issued Monday.

The suspect allegedly pushed the victim to the ground after the argument and proceeded to discharge the firearm on the ground, police say.

The suspect was arrested on the evening of Oct. 4, near Lakeshore Boulevard West and Long Branch Avenue.

Police allege that at the time of arrest, the suspect was in possession of a loaded .38 calibre revolver handgun and an undisclosed quantity of ammunition.

Riley Larman was charged with assault, reckless discharge of a restricted firearm, two counts of possession of a restricted firearm, two counts of possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, four counts of possession of a firearm and ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and careless storage of a firearm.

Larman appeared in court to face the charges on Sunday.
