The Government will make a financial commitment to fund LOI Academies
The government will put €3m towards the funding of League of Ireland academies in 2026 as part of a new multiannual commitment from the state that will allow the number of full-time staff working in the game to increase.
Today’s budget will confirm that the lobbying for support led by the League of Ireland department within the FAI has been successful, even if they have not secured the full amount requested in the pre-budget submission that was detailed by the Irish Independent last Friday.
