Claire’s called in administrators for its UK and Ireland operations last month after filing for bankruptcy in the United States. Investment firm Modella Capital bought the majority of the company’s operations and assets from administrators.

The Limerick city store is one of three stores that are closing which did not transfer to Modella Capital as part of the sale announced last week. The other two stores that are to close are Macclesfield and Oxford Street West in London.

The administrators are continuing to trade the remaining 142 stores which did not transfer to Modella. These stores have commenced closing down sales in-store in order to sell the remaining stock.
