Swifties across the country say their autographed CDs were stolen or swapped in transit, with empty boxes arriving instead. DHL says it’s investigating.

ATLANTA — Dozens of Taylor Swift fans say they received empty or partially filled boxes instead of the autographed CDs they ordered online. 

In many of the cases, the trail appears to lead to a shipping facility in Kentucky.

Megan Shay Mullikin of Duncan, South Carolina, said she ordered four signed CDs from Swift’s official website for her three daughters but received only one.

“The sides of the box were easily able to open to slip them out,” Mullikin said, adding others across the Southeast are reporting the same issue.

According to a private Facebook group formed by affected fans, roughly 250 people have confirmed missing or tampered orders. Many of the packages list the same transfer location — a DHL facility in Hebron, Kentucky.


Mullikin shared her shipping details showing her box was among those that went through the facility.

“One person opened their box and found a prayer book inside instead of the CDs,” Mullikin said. “That’s what’s leading people to believe they’ve been tampered with or stolen.”

Fans say tracking information showed the boxes weighed correctly when processed through the Hebron hub, but when they arrived, the contents were gone or incomplete.

Universal Music Group (UMG), which fulfills orders for Swift’s merchandise, has reportedly told customers they can request a refund or replacement “if items are still in stock.” The signed CDs sold out within minutes when released.


In a statement, DHL said it is aware of the reports.

“At DHL we are aware of the reports regarding the signed CDs that have been reported missing,” the company said. “We are actively investigating the case in close exchange with the shipper.”

Reached for comment, the U.S. Postal Service said it would prepare a statement with further details; the statement was not yet available Tuesday morning.

Mullikin said fans are still sharing their stories online and believe more victims may come forward.
