Security sources told ynet that the political leadership has instructed the defense establishment to “bring in and further accelerate humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, and be less concerned with precautionary measures” to prevent food from reaching Hamas. Senior officials handling the issue explained the directive and claimed there is “significant pressure” on the government from worldwide reports about starvation in Gaza. Just yesterday, approximately 150 food trucks were coordinated and distributed from the Kerem Shalom crossing – a substantial increase compared to previous days.
