Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou is under pressure at Nottingham Forest after just seven games in charge.

The Australian took over from Nuno Espirito Santo after the former Celtic manager accepted the offer to lead Forest in the Premier League this season.

The start to Postecoglou’s tenure at his new club has been far from rosy with Forest rumoured to have found a replacement for the ex-Celtic man if results don’t pick up.

However, Joe Hart has sent the Forest fans a message as he shares how Postecoglou turned Celtic around after a tricky start to his Hoops career.

Celtic fans will remember the start to Postecoglou’s tenure was far from easy.

An opening season defeat at Hearts was followed up with another two defeats to leave Ange with a 50% win rate in his first six games at Celtic.

However, Hart has revealed the exact ‘moment’ a speech delivered by his old Celtic manager inspired the team to go on and become Scotland’s most successful club.

Hart told BBC Sport, “When he came in at Celtic we were three wins from our first six games and the pressure was mounting. There was a lot of pressure from outside.

“A lot of people probably wanted him out of Celtic at that point. And we had a moment away at Livingston, we lost 1-0, 95% away crowd in the stadium and the pressure was on.

“But we got in that dressing room, we kind of looked at him, thinking, are we going to change things? And he doubled down. He said, ‘Look, this is how I want us to play. It’s going to be tough. We’re going to go through rocky times. Trust in me’.

“We did trust in him, three titles later. I’m not saying they’re going to win the league, but you’ve got to give a manager time, especially midway through a season.”

What happened to Celtic under Postecoglou after that Livingston defeat

What Forest fans will find incredible is that after that speech from Postecoglou, Celtic went on a 32-game unbeaten run to win a league and cup double that season.

Here is the complete record of Celtic’s season after that loss at Almondvale:

Played 32Won: 26Drawn: 6Lost: 0

That run included thumping Rangers twice and drawing at Parkhead once as Postecoglou relentlessly pursued the Ibrox club to regain the title.
