The RCMP is warning the public of an armed and dangerous man in the Muskowekwan First Nation area, about 140 kilometres northeast of Regina.
Police said 28-year-old Elijah Albert is armed with a rifle and was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and dark backpack, RCMP said in an early Thursday morning alert.
He was last seen heading into the bush around Muskowekwan and could now be travelling by quad or on foot, according to the alert.
RCMP advises people in the area to seek immediate shelter, remain in a secure location and lock all windows and doors.
People should also refrain from picking up any hitchhikers and report emergencies to 911.
