The “global sumud flotilla” was a flotilla of failure. By its own standards.
The stated objective of those who set out by boat from Barcelona some months ago was not to spend several days in Israeli prisons, before being deported back to Europe. It was, instead, to “break the siege of Gaza” and to “deliver aid to stop the genocide”. Both of those objectives were not met, the ships were intercepted, and the Israeli Government (with little discernable diplomatic cost) simply rounded up the crews and sent them home.
