Prince William is grilling King Charles about where his allegiances lie. The future king is reportedly not happy about the way that his father’s reconciliation with Prince Harry went.
According to Radar Online, Prince William left Charles with an “ultimatum.” “It’s me or Harry,” an insider dished. The reasoning behind the ultimatum was not impulsive, per the source. “William’s not about ‘I told you so’ or revenge – he’s completely focused on what’s best for the family,” they said.

“William takes his role as protector to the King very seriously,” the source emphasized, saying that he’s taking his role of heir quite literally. “William made it clear to Charles that he wants him to start taking his advice and warnings more seriously. William has seen Harry’s wild side. But he’s also one of the few who understands Harry strategically and less emotionally.”
The outlet reported that William was furious after Harry talked to The Guardian about his father’s reunion—the first meeting since his cancer diagnosis and reports his dad is “dying.” He was specifically angry about his brother defending his thoughts in his tell-all memoir Spare. “I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear,” the Duke of Sussex told the outlet.
Harry also revealed that the reunion caused him to return to his homeland more. “Yes, I would,” he said about bringing his children back to the UK. “This week has definitely brought that closer.”
“The fact Charles got burned less than a week after his meeting with Harry was almost to the letter what William predicted would happen,” the insider claimed about Harry’s tell-all interview. “William thinks it’s foolish to let it happen again.”
Prince William talked about the importance of focusing on a modern monarchy when he becomes King. “There are lots of things to think about with that,” the Prince of Wales said in Eugene Levy’s Apple TV+ travel series The Reluctant Traveler, “But obviously, I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do, a world and a job that actually does impact people’s lives for the better.”
For William, that also means learning from past mistakes. “That is caveated with, I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past, that Harry and I had to grow up in,” he added, “and I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”
The Daily Beast reported earlier this year that, according to a friend of William, “He absolutely f—ing hates” his brother Harry, with the same source adding that, “William will never, ever forgive Harry for what he has done. Charles is the king; he can do what he likes. But make no mistake: William believes with every fiber of his being that giving Harry and Meghan back any royal imprimatur is a huge mistake.”
