Hostage and Missing Persons Coordinator Gal Hirsch wrote in a message to the families of the hostages that “I returned earlier to Israel with Minister Dermer and senior members of the negotiation team, directly to the Cabinet discussion in Jerusalem which was followed by a government meeting. The vote was conducted as soon as possible in order to expedite the implementation of the agreement as much as possible.” According to him, “The IDF will now begin repositioning in the Gaza Strip to arrange along the ‘Yellow Line’ in accordance with the agreement. Once our forces complete their operational preparations and confirmation is received, the 72-hour countdown will begin – during which our hostages are expected to be released.”
