A pedestrian has been struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke and sustained serious injuries, Toronto paramedics say.

The collision occurred near Kipling Terminal in the area of Dundas Street West and Subway Crescent just after 4 p.m.

Paramedics say the pedestrian has been rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, police say.

The circumstances that led to the collision are not immediately known.
