A man has been arrested after two vehicles were set on fire in the early hours of this morning in West Donegal.
A van and a car were parked outside a house at Loughanure when the incident happened.
At approximately 5.10am the vehicles were set on fire.
It is not understood that anybody was injured as a result of the fire.
Gardai have confirmed that a man in his 30s has since been arrested in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson said “Gardaí are investigating criminal damage by fire to a van and a car parked at a house in Loch an Iúir, Co Donegal, at approximately 5:10am on 10th October 2025.
“A man, aged in his 30s, has been arrested in connection with this investigation and has been detained at a station in the Garda North Western Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
