Fox News interrupted its programming for breaking news as Ivanka Trump delivered a message during a rally in Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square.

The First Daughter addressed thousands of Israelis gathered in celebration of the cease-fire agreement that came into effect on Friday afternoon. According to the deal, all living hostages in Gaza, which is estimated to be around 20, and the remains of around 28 deceased hostages, must be returned to Israel within 72 hours.

Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, reportedly helped negotiate the agreement and is expected to speak at the rally. The president is expected to visit Israel on Monday for a short celebratory trip.

The cease-fire comes two years after Hamas’s attack on a music festival that left approximately 1,200 people dead and more than 240 taken hostage. Since then, Israeli forces have decimated Gaza in what the U.N. has declared to be a genocide against the Palestinian people.

At the rally on Saturday evening, Ivanka took to the podium and began, “Over the last two years, the president, myself, Steve, Jared, and so many others, have met these incredible people and I am in awe by their strength and conviction in spite of such suffering.”

She continued, “And the president wanted me to share, as he has with so many of you personally, that he sees you, he hears you, he stands with you always. Always. ” The crowd erupted in cheers and ‘Thank you, Trump’ chants.

“The return of each hostage is not only a moment of homecoming and relief, it’s a triumph of faith, of courage, and of our shared humanity.”

Ivanka went on to say, “We pray to ensure that this coming week is one of healing for you all. One of healing as we begin and embark on the next chapter, which, God willing, will be a lasting and enduring peace. God bless you all for standing in solidarity together through this dark chapter.”

Rallies have been held at Hostages Square weekly since the attacks, featuring speeches from families of hostages and freed hostages and performances from Israeli musicians.

Trump’s administration has been vying for the president to win the Nobel Peace Prize, and after the 2025 prize was awarded to Venezuelan activist María Corina Machado, White House communications director Steven Cheung posted on social media, “The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated, “Whether the current US president deserves the Nobel Prize or not, I don’t know. But he’s really doing a lot to resolve complex crises that last for years, even decades,” to which Trump responded by posting “Thank you to President Putin” on Truth Social.
