Calgary police are asking the public for help in their search for a man wanted for sexually assaulting a woman in Confederation Park in the city’s northwest.

They say it happened just after 8 p.m. along a pathway in the park west of 10 Street NW on Oct. 3.

While the victim was walking with her headphones on, she noticed a man looking at her, who then approached her to speak.

Police say he told her his name is Ethan and 28 years old, and then proceeded to make an “unwanted sexual proposition,” causing the woman to walk away alarmed.

The man then followed her, pushed her down from behind, and sexually assaulted her. Investigators add she fought back, leading the suspect to flee on foot.

Officers say the warrant was issued on Friday, but after several attempts to find him, they are asking the public for help.

The suspect, 28-year-old Ethan Cole, is described as being around 5’8″ tall, weighing roughly 121 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair shaved on the sides and tied in a bun.
