Star striker Erling Haaland has scored a hat-trick for Norway in their 5-0 win against Israel, three days ahead of their international friendly against New Zealand.

Haaland hit the net in the 27th, 63rd and 72nd minutes to help his side win their Group I match in the FIFA World Cup European qualifiers.

The hat-trick took his goal tally for Norway to 46 in only 51 full international appearances.

The Manchester City striker missed a penalty against Israel when his shot was saved by Israel goalkeeper Daniel Peretz. The ‘keeper was judged to have moved off his line so the spot kick was retaken, and Peretz saved it again.

Haaland, who played the full game against Israel, is in hot form for club and country.

In the English Premier League this season, he has scored nine goals already, which equals the total number scored by his nine nearest rivals for the Golden Boot last season.

Norway are ranked #31 in the FIFA men’s world rankings while New Zealand are #83. Israel are #76.
