Yael Savraigo, the niece of kidnapped fallen soldier Lior Rudaif, said at the Hostages Square that “On October 6, 2009, I returned from a trip to Poland. I saw the horrors and heard the stories, and thought I understood something about the depth of human evil. But nothing prepared me for what I saw and experienced firsthand 14 years later – on October 7, 2023. Today an entire nation holds its breath, follows, prays and cries with emotion, but until the last hostage is here, in the State of Israel, the mission will not be complete. We are waiting to accompany my uncle, Lior, on his final journey. Without the kidnapped fallen soldiers, nothing is complete.”
