Palestinian Authority Deputy Chairman Hussein al-Sheikh met with Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister who is expected to lead the mechanism that will manage Gaza the day after the war. Al-Sheikh said, “The meeting focused on the day after and ways to ensure the success of President Trump’s efforts aimed at stopping the war and establishing lasting peace in the region.” He added: “I expressed willingness to work with Trump, Blair and relevant partners to establish a ceasefire, bring in aid, release hostages and prisoners, and begin rehabilitation and reconstruction processes.”
