A motorcyclist has been rushed to a trauma centre following a collision in Pearson International Airport in Mississauga on Sunday night.

The two-vehicle crash happened just after 9 p.m. in the area of 6655 Airport Rd. at Orlando Drive, which is south of Derry Road East.

Paramedics say they transported an adult male, in his 20s, to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

Peel Regional Police initially said the driver was seriously injured.

They added that both the driver of the car and the motorcycle remained on scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Currently, northbound Airport is closed between Orlando and Northwest Drive. This closure is expected to last several hours and police are urging drivers to use alternate routes.
