‘He went to fight for Israel. We are proud of him’

The family of hostage survivor Matan Angerst addressed his release and stated: “Our beloved child has been returned to us after two complex years, and we are so proud of him.” According to the family, “This moment fills our hearts with deep gratitude, humility and infinite love for being part of the people of Israel who carried us on their shoulders throughout this long, painful and impossible period. Matan went to fight for the people of Israel and for two years an entire nation fought for him.”
