Dani, the father of hostage survivor Omri Miran, said in a statement from Ichilov Hospital that “Yesterday we celebrated with the helicopter that brought us back from Re’im, and I asked to make a circle around the Hostages Square. When I saw the cheering crowd, I asked the pilot for another loop. I couldn’t help but thank the people of Israel this way for everything you’ve showered upon us. Omri has returned healthy and whole, after completing the examinations we will begin his physical rehabilitation, but we have a moral obligation, all the hostage families, to continue supporting the other families whose deceased children have not yet been returned to Israel for proper burial. The Israeli government has the responsibility to fulfill the agreement as written, not moving to the next clause without completing the current one.”
