The mother of hostage Matan Angerst, Anat, said in a statement from Ichilov Hospital that “Last night, after 738 sleepless nights, I managed to fall asleep for the first time with the head of my beloved son Matan in my lap. Even in the height of crisis moments, I had no doubt that this nation would succeed in the mission to rescue and bring back its brothers and sisters. I am breathing easier as a mother together with the mothers of our fighters who now know more than ever that when they send their children to fight for the country, the country will fight for them in return when they are in distress.”
