The actress usually serves up vintage romanticism, but on this occasion, she opted for something different — not in terms of the label, as she’s continued her love affair with Valentino, but in mood and structure.
Instead of the ethereal soft silhouettes, ruffles, and delicate prints we’ve seen from her Valentino Resort 2026 choices, Kirsten wore a tailored look from Alessandro Michele’s Fall 2025 collection.
The red wrap jacket, cinched with a black velvet bow, paired with houndstooth trousers, was the kind of refined yet playful tailoring that felt reminiscent of late-’70s to early-’80s power dressing — strong shoulders, sharp lines, but still utterly feminine in spirit.
While I’ll always have a soft spot for rom-Dun, I also love this change of pace. It shows her range and her willingness to experiment while staying true to her timeless sensibility.
I would take an inch off the trouser length, but I’m resigned to the fact that this length does elongate the legs, and I’m glad Kirsten’s trousers don’t slip into Victoria Beckham territory.
