An investigation is under way into what gardaí have described as a serious incident at a residential location in Dublin.
At least one person sustained serious life threatening injuries, which are potentially fatal, but gardaí have not confirmed reports of a fatality.
The incident occurred before midday at what appears to have been a care facility in the Donaghmede area.
It is understood a number of juveniles were in a property when a violent attack took place.
A number of other people, believed to be female, are understood to have managed to flee the residential home.
The scene has been declared a crime scene and cordoned off.
