A racing driver has been accused of raping one of Michael Schumacher’s nurses at the seven-time F1 world champion’s home.

The unnamed accused was a close friend of Schumacher’s son, Mick, and raped the nurse while staying at the family’s mansion in Switzerland, according to prosecutors.

The driver is accused of raping the woman in an upstairs bedroom after a night of cocktails with her and her colleagues.

The alleged victim was part of a medical team providing on-site care in the Gland property to the Formula One legend , who suffered a catastrophic head injury in a skiing accident in France in 2013.

Details of the allegations, that were made in 2022 and date back a number of years, have surfaced in a report by Swiss news site 24heures ahead of a trial scheduled for this week.

No members of the Schumacher family are implicated in the allegations, and there is no suggestion of wrongdoing by them.

At the end of her shift, the victim joined two of her colleagues who were playing pool with the young man, according to prosecutors.

The caregiver felt unwell after drinks and could not stand and her colleagues took her to rest in a private room, 24Heures reported.

One of her colleagues took her back to a staff room, before deciding to carry her to bed along with the defendant, it is alleged.

They lay the nurse down “without undressing her” and left her there, asleep, with the lights on, it is claimed.

The driver is accused of returning to the room shortly after and raping her while she was in an unconscious state.

The driver claims he and the alleged victim had kissed once before at a club in Geneva, 24Heures reported.

He “acknowledges a consensual relationship”, according to the Swiss news site.
