Calgary police have arrested a driver believed to be responsible for a hit-and-run in the city’s southeast Thursday that seriously hurt a pedestrian.
Calgary police say it happened around 7:40 a.m. on Riverbend Drive SE.
The vehicle fled the scene following the incident. Investigators said they believed the vehicle involved was white or silver and that it would have damage to the front lights.
Police say the driver was taken in custody about three hours after the incident.
No information has been provided regarding possible charges.
Area roads were closed for a period of time to allow for clean up and investigation, but have since reopened.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
