A man is dead, after he was found in Oshawa with obvious signs of trauma.

Police were called to the area of Simcoe Street South and McGrigor Street on Thursday.

They found a victim, who was pronounced dead and the homicide unit is now investigating.

Officers haven’t said anything about what happened and there’s no word on any suspects.

They do say the body was found near a mosque and investigators are working with the Oshawa Islamic Centre to determine if there is any connection.
