– Mansion linked to Kim Dotcom briefly listed for sale this week.
– The five-bedroom home features a designer kitchen, solar panels, and access to hiking trails and a clubhouse.

A Queenstown mansion linked to Kim Dotcom was briefly on the market this week.
The luxury Glenorchy property, which has an RV of $15.63m, was listed for sale on Tuesday and then pulled the following day.
OneRoof reached out to the listing agent and Dotcom for comment, but had not heard back at the time of publication.
The five-bedroom home is owned by a company controlled by Dotcom’s wife, Elizabeth, and last changed hands in 2021 for just over $15m.
The listing for the property highlighted its key features, noting that it was “located in a premium position within one of New Zealand’s most exclusive gated estates”.

The listing agent notes that the property has a designer kitchen, a “large open fireplace, ideal for family or entertaining” and provisions for “a media room, sunroom and a gym along with an expansive garage with internal access”.
“There is diesel-fired under-floor heating throughout, including a ground-mounted 68 solar panel system and north facing solar panels on the roof,” the agent says.
“Oriented north-west with breath-taking vistas across Lake Whakatipu, this property is situated on 2.6044ha (more or less) along with shared ownership of 89ha, including 9km of hiking trails, a lakefront clubhouse with dining facilities, a spa, pool, and Lake Fyfe for trout fishing. With heli-skiing on your doorstep, let the adventure begin.
“An airfield is located nearby for time-conscious travellers.”

The agent notes that “Australian and Singaporean citizens are able to purchase this significant property”. He adds that some of the images in the listing “have been digitally staged”.
The brief listing of the home follows Dotcom’s return to Queenstown after a stint in Dunedin while he recovered from a stroke. In July, he posted on X that he was “making good progress in my recovery”.
“I can walk a bit. I use the toilet and the shower again. My speech is still impaired and my memory loss is concerning. The New Zealand Govt still wants to extradite me. I guess after surviving stroke I can’t complain. I’ll be back.”
Earlier this year, Dotcom denied reports that he had acquired one of Dunedin’s “most-admired” mansions. Stuff reported that the internet entrepreneur had bought the Mosgiel property, which had been on the market for sale for more than two years.

However, Dotcom told OneRoof via text message in April that he did not own the property. “I have not purchased a property in Bush Road, I just live there for my stroke recovery,” the text said.
Dotcom is fighting an extradition order signed by the Justice Minister last year. The internet mogul is facing charges in the US.
He has also been linked to some of New Zealand’s most expensive homes.
In 2012, his rented Auckland house, dubbed the “Dotcom Mansion” was raided by the Police Special Tactics Group as part of a worldwide FBI operation to take down Dotcom’s Megaupload file-sharing website, which was claimed to be at the centre of a massive criminal copyright operation. The home subsequently sold to the ZURU Toys magnates, siblings Anna, Mat and Nick Mowbray, in 2016 for $32.5m
OneRoof records show that Dotcom owns a multimillion-dollar lifestyle block in Auckland’s Coatesville, near the “Dotcom Mansion”. The property has an RV of more than $6m.
