Otago have the chance to end a 27-year title drought after cruising into next weekend’s NPC final with a 41-17 win over Bay of Plenty in Dunedin.
Otago last played in the final in 1998, and will face the winner of tomorrow’s semifinal between Canterbury and Hawke’s Bay.
The hosts
led 14-12 shortly before halftime but tries on either side of the break put them out to a commanding 28-12 lead over last year’s runners-up.
