Park Suji, known as ‘Mina’s sister-in-law,’ posted a lengthy message expressing her feelings following ongoing rumors of family discord.
On the 19th, Park Suji shared a long post, beginning, “Although it is very late, I misunderstood the meaning of some comments due to not fully understanding their expressions. I apologize if my replies were perceived differently as a result.”
She emphasized, “I never intended to target Mina or blame anyone. I am always grateful to Mina, who has consistently supported me.” Park Suji added, “Mina has always quietly cheered me on and believed in me.”
She continued, “Even during difficult times, Mina helped me without a word. The financial support and emotional comfort she gave me were tremendous gifts.” Park Suji sincerely expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much. I will strive to become stronger and grow, so your kindness will not be in vain.”
She reiterated her appreciation, saying, “Mina has always seen the best in me, supported me, and believed in me even when the world misunderstood me, malicious comments were posted, and rumors were circulating.”
Park Suji gained attention after sharing her weight loss journey with her younger brother, Philip Ryu (real name Park Philip), and his wife Mina. She successfully lost 72kg, dropping from 150kg to 78kg, and received enthusiastic support from many.
However, she recently announced that she would no longer accept help from Mina and Philip Ryu. After this, she experienced a rebound, with her weight increasing to 108kg. This situation led to further rumors of discord with Mina and Philip Ryu.
Philip Ryu explained, “My sister said she no longer needed our help, so we could not continue supporting her. As a result, things did not end well, and it has been difficult, so we do not see each other often.” He added, “However, we have not cut ties as a family. I hope there are no misunderstandings.”
He also wrote, “Please do not post speculative comments in public spaces that portray Mina in a negative light. I am clarifying because even Suji’s comments seem to have caused misunderstandings among others,” posting several explanations and statements about the situation.
