Steve Whitkoff, special envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, described his speech at Hostages Square during an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes” investigative program. When asked about the booing when he mentioned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s name, he replied: “That’s how they (the protesters) feel, I don’t feel that way.” Whitkoff added: “I thought he navigated his country under rather difficult circumstances.” He also claimed that in his opinion, Netanyahu did not extend the war for his personal benefit: “I don’t think that’s the case.”
