What’s happening demands our attention, and our voice.” He described Israel’s actions in Gaza as “genocide,” adding, “Israel’s ongoing destruction of Gaza and killing of Palestinians is horrific and unacceptable.” He concluded, “Silence isn’t neutrality. It’s complicity.”
“We are aware of a social media post made by one of our employees that is inconsistent with our code of conduct. The post has been removed and we are reviewing the matter,” A Citigroup spokesperson said in a statement.
Singal assumed his role in March 2024. His previous LinkedIn post praised Citigroup’s culture and support for employees, announcing his six-month paternity leave.
