The Vancouver Whitecaps are off to the MLS Cup Playoffs, and their round one schedule has been released.

After being passed by San Diego FC this weekend, the Whitecaps finished second in the West, setting up a first-round matchup against seventh-seed FC Dallas. The best-of-three series will begin next Sunday, with Vancouver hosting two of the three games at BC Place

Here is a look at when and where each game will take place:

Game 1: Sunday, Oct 26 at Vancouver
Game 2: Saturday, Nov. 1 at Dallas
Game 3 (if necessary): Friday, Nov. 7 at Vancouver

The club is counting on the fanbase to pack into BC Place for the playoff opener, though it has not been confirmed whether or not they will open up the upper bowl for the games. The team confirmed that more than 20,000 tickets have already been sold for Game 1.

“This has been a fantastic, record-breaking year for our club, and now we have reached the most important part of the season,” said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC chief executive officer and sporting director.

“We will need our supporters now more than ever. Tickets are selling fast, so we encourage fans to secure their seats early.”

The date is set. It’s so on. 🔥

The Whitecaps split the season series with Dallas, having won 1-0 in Texas back in March, but losing the season finale on Saturday by a score of 2-1. This will be the second time these two clubs have met in the postseason, with FC Dallas winning the best-of-three series 2-1.

Vancouver is a serious contender to go the distance this season, having set MLS club records in points (63), wins (8), and goals scored (66). They also led the entire league with a +28 goal differential.

The midseason addition of German superstar Thomas Müller has also supercharged the fanbase.

The winner of this best-of-three series will move on to the MLS Cup Western Conference Semifinals, where one of Los Angeles FC or Austin FC awaits.
