Hamilton Police have made an arrest after an Ambulance was set ablaze early Sunday morning.
On October 19, 2025, around 6:00a.m., EMS staff arrived at the Hamilton General Hospital and had just offloaded a patient. Upon returning to their Ambulance, they discovered that it was engulfed in flames. First responders arrived, and an investigation was initiated. Using CCTV camera footage and eye-witness accounts, it was learned that a lone suspect had tossed an accelerant into the ambulance and departed on foot.
Officers flooded the area and located the suspect, a 31-year-old male of no-fixed-address, at a bus stop nearby. He was arrested without incident and charged with the following:
Arson – Disregard for Human LifeFail to Comply Probation Order x3
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as no one was inside the Ambulance at the time that the fire occurred.Â
