Maccabi Tel Aviv announced that it has decided to forgo all ticket allocations intended for its fans for the away game against Aston Villa in the Europa League, due to genuine concerns for fans’ safety and the tense atmosphere surrounding the match. The club’s statement read: “We appreciate the efforts of the British government and police to ensure that both sets of fans can arrive safely, but the welfare and security of our fans are our top priorities.
