Mika, the daughter of Ronen Engel who was kidnapped and murdered on October 7 and returned for burial in Israel, eulogized him during a memorial ceremony in Kibbutz Nir Oz. “Abush, my father. I so much don’t want to accept and understand that you will no longer be with me, that I will never get to hug you again. It’s so empty here without you. Life is so empty, my soul is so empty, the longing is so great and strong that it hurts to breathe. But I decided that I am living for you,” she said.
