A New York man pardoned by President Donald Trump for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol was arrested Sunday after threatening to kill House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
Christopher Moynihan, 34, of Clinton, New York, allegedly sent a series of text messages last week saying that Jeffries “must be eliminated” and that he “cannot allow this terrorist to live,” according to state police and court records. He was charged with making a terrorist threat, a felony, and is being held on $10,000 bail, investigators said.
