A busy street in London’s Clapham was closed off after a teeanger was stabbed. Police and air ambulance attended the scene in Beauchamp Road, Clapham, south London, around 3.20pm on Tuesday. The air ambulance was seen landing on Clapham Common.
London Ambulance Service said it was called to reports of a stabbing around 3.20pm and a man was treated for stab wounds and taken to a major trauma centre. The Metropolitan Police said a 19-year-old male treated at the scene for stab wounds. The force said no arrests had been made.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:“We were called at 3.20pm today (21 October) to reports of a stabbing on Beauchamp Road, SW11.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic from our tactical response unit and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our first paramedics arrived on scene in less than four minutes.
“We were treated a man for stab wounds and took him to a major trauma centre by road as a priority.”
