A woman has been injured after an army truck and car collided north-west of Brisbane.

The truck rolled over following the crash, but none of the occupants were injured, police said.

Emergency services said they were called to Ferny Hills just before 3:30pm this afternoon following reports a military vehicle had collided with a car on Samford Road.

It’s understood the driver of this car was taken to hospital. (ABC News)

The driver of the car sustained non life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital, police said.

It’s understood the woman is in her 60s.

No one was trapped in the crash.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Australian Defence Force said the welfare of both the civilian and ADF members was of priority. 

“Defence’s focus is on supporting those involved,” the statement read.

Police said Samford Road has been closed in both directions near the intersection with Baden Lane.

A spokesperson for Queensland Police Service said the Forensic Crash Unit was investigating.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area on Wednesday afternoon.
